A Study of Correlation Between Dengue Serological Markers and Platelet Count in Ajmer Region

Background: Dengue is an acute viral infection has emerged as a notable public health problem. Rapid immunochromatographic test and IgM/IgG ELISA been the mainstay of diagnosis. Combination NS1 antigen detection along with antibody increases diagnostic rates. Thrombocytopenia begins during febrile phase. Therefore, we tried to evaluate association platelet counts against (NS1 IgM/IgG) IgM in dengue infections.
 Methodology: The study variation different parameters fever cases was undertaken our department over period 18 months from July 2017 December 2018. Inclusion criteria: All patients clinical features serologically positive included. 
 Exclusion Patient’s which are negative if routine laboratory suggesting bacterial, parasite or any other than disease. CBC done all clinically suspected cases. Serum samples were tested for NS1, IgG by immunochromatography-based MAC-Capture ELISA. Platelet obtained Test results specific compared counts.
 Results: Of 636 tested, 396 one more parameters. 396, 312 152 IgM, 41 354 consistently associated serological parameters.
 Conclusion: It can be concluded that found showed significant correlation markers.
